FOUNDER & MANAGING PARTNER

Evan is a business leader, philanthropist, investor, author and adjunct professor. He was the President of Dormont Manufacturing Company, the inventor and world's largest manufacturer of flexible stainless steel gas appliance connectors. After a successful exit, Evan served as the Chief Financial Officer at the U.S. Department of Agriculture. He currently serves as the Chairman of The Evan & Tracy Segal Family Foundation, Co-Founder of The 412 Venture Fund, Founder of Kiva Pittsburgh and Venture For America Pittsburgh. Evan graduated from the CMU Tepper School of Business with a B.S. and an MBA and lives with his wife and dog in Tiburon, CA.

MANAGING DIRECTOR

As Managing Director of Segal Ventures, Jory co-leads the firm's investment strategy, with a specific focus on climate and sustainability investing and innovative financing structures. Jory is also the Founder and Managing Partner of TerraCore Climate, a climate tech capital platform dedicated to financing hardware and infrastructure solutions. Prior to this, he spent 8 years as a fixed-income trader at Nomura and later worked at an early-stage deep tech VC firm. Jory attended the University of Virginia, where he earned a B.S. in Commerce (Finance & Management). Jory lives in Los Angeles, CA.

MANAGING DIRECTOR

As Managing Director of Segal Ventures, Ariel co-leads the firm’s investment strategy, with a focus on women’s health, the care economy, and early childhood education. She also manages charitable giving for The Evan & Tracy Segal Family Foundation. With 15+ years of experience as an operator at tech startups, Ariel most recently led marketing at Foursquare. Ariel holds a B.A. in Marketing & Psychology from Georgetown University, an MBA from NYU Stern, and lives with her husband, three children and dog in Tiburon, CA.
